Access control solutions in regard to security systems are not restricted to commercial applications, the ability to control access in regard to your home, and areas within your home are also available with entry and higher end security systems. Yes, we have done very large integrated gate controller, digital video, fire detection and security alarm systems that are hooked into the home automation and audio visual network, but there are some very affordable access control options for the mid range consumer.

With a standard security system, you can have an additional service that is available that can email you when your alarm system is armed or disarmed to better track when your teens are arriving home, and even individually identify them with their own pass code number. Upgraded security systems many times have multiple partitions on it that allow you to have the overall house disarmed in regard to the alarm system, but have another 1-7 other areas that can still be armed.

An example of this may be having the den or room that the firearm safe is in protected unless the parents are home, and or having two contacts on the safe itself, one that will go off if it is moved in regard to a burglary situation, or the door is open on it in regard to the curious unattended teenager(s). There is a newer product on the market called OZ vision. It is married up to your alarm system, and when the door is opened, (the contact broken), in regard to your residence, an email with the few seconds before the door was opened is emailed to you.
